Updating the Pieps Micro Avalanche Transceiver

The Pieps Micro was the first avalanche transceiver to support updates using a Bluetooth enabled Android or iPhone device. Bitch'n! You can get the apps from the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store. (Learn about updating other transceivers. Learn more about the Pieps App.)

The version number of the Pieps Micro firmware is displayed immediately after you turn the device on.

To update your transceiver using the Pieps App:

  1. Turn on your transceiver while holding the Flag button pressed. Release the button when the Bluetooth icon is displayed.
  2. Launch the Pieps app on your phone.
  3. Choose Device Manager in the app.
  4. If your transceiver is not displayed in the list of transceivers, tap Register and follow the instructions.
  5. Tap Connect Bluetooth Device at the top of the screen.
  6. Tap on your transceiver.
  7. Tap "SW Version".
  8. After updating, you may also want to choose " Device Check" to test your transceiver or change the available settings.
